A site for practical preppers. A place to go to learn resiliency and preparedness for those looking to get into the prepper world.

About Us

Pragmatic Preparedness is a site run by a couple of brothers. The idea behind the site was to create something that would appeal to your entry level preppers, to provide a little prepping 101 for those who either aren’t ready or aren’t interested in building a bomb shelter, and combine that with a site where you can find some good deals on items that will make you a little more prepared for whatever type of emergency may pop up.

Prepping has been around for as long as people have been around, or at least as long as they’ve been writing stuff down. Confucius said “He who fails to prepare, prepares to fail.” In ancient Greece Aesop told the tale of the Ant and the Grasshopper, a lesson in the value of preparation that’s still told thousands of years later. We believe in the wisdom of Sun Tzu, who said “Plan for what is difficult while it is easy,” and hopefully we can share that philosophy with you. Don’t just survive, thrive.

Why are we doing this? In 1906, Alfred Henry Lewis stated, “There are only nine meals between mankind and anarchy.” Our goal is to help our neighbors avoid that end one person and even one meal at a time by becoming more resilient.
